Martinis Marchi Restaurant

The food served in our restaurant reflects simplicity of perfectly prepared traditional local dishes made from high-quality and healthy ingredients which have been used in this area since the ancient times – freshly caught fish and olives, wine and domestic island honey represent the ingredients which have been used for preparing exquisite, special and abundant dishes for centuries. 

Our olive oil is produced here on the Island of Šolta, and every single drop captures the Mediterranean essence – a few drops of fresh lemon juice and a couple of salt grains collected from the nearby salt pan Pag shall make each dish an unforgettable one.

Our skilled chefs add their own creative personal signature to the well-known classics of the Mediterranean cuisine, thus unifying culinary traditions with modern trends offering you a memorable and long-lasting experience. 

  • Wrapped goat cheese

    Goat cheese wrapped in cross bacon, slightly heated on a grill and served on a crunchy bed of fennel and green salad, refined with a few sprinkles of local “extra virgin olive oil” and garlic.

  • Tuna Carpaccio

    Fresh tuna on rocket salad sprinkled with extra virgin olive oil from the island of Šolta and garnished with cherry tomatoes.

  • Royal octopus

    Octopus briefly seared in the wok, served with leeks and spring onions from the region in a tasty and luscious Aceto Balsamico dressing.

  • Prosciutto with melon

    Dalmatian prosciutto dried in the natural wind “Bura” from Drniš, in combination with melon and local cherry tomatoes.

  • Sea bass fillet with tomatoes

    Sea bass fillet fried over low heat, enriched with creamy sauce of home-grown tomatoes,
    served with soft polenta.

  • Gurnard fish fillet with warm capers

    Fillet of white fish gurnard (rooster) served with warmed capers and seasonal
    vegetables.

  • Tuna fillet with Swiss chard

    Freshly caught tuna from the Adriatic Sea, spiced with coarse grained sea salt from the
    neighbouring island of Pag served with Swiss chard and potatoes, grilled to your wishes.

  • Lobster with noodles

    One of the finest crabs, prepared with pasta in a sauce of Šolta tomatoes with an addition of
    a thin layer of olive oil and decorated with Grana Padano cheese.

  • Veal fillet “Martinis-Marchi”

    Juicy piece of meat prepared on grill with the addition of creamy onion and roasted
    cabbage.

  • Beef fillet

    Beef fillet prepared on grill, as you wish, served with seasonal vegetables and potato gratin

  • Lamb chops

    In butter fried lamb chops prepared with carrots, zucchini on butter, baked cabbage, and
    gravy sauce

  • Duck breast on brown butter

    Duck breast sautéed on brown butter,served with baked cherry tomatoes and finely
    chopped vegetables complemented by wild orange

  • Fish pot “Martinis Marchi”

    Carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic and parsley fried in olive oil, chunks of white fish flavoured
    with white wine.

  • Beef steaks “a la Pašticada”

    Marinated beef leg (position “frikando“), cooked for hours over low heat with seasonal
    vegetables, apples and prosecco. Served with gnocchi.

  • Sweet kiss “Martinis-Marchi”

    Chocolate cake with dried figs and walnuts kissed by vanilla ice cream and homemade
    caramel sauce.

    Short crust pastry with homemade bourbon cream, enriched with seasonal berries.

Martinis Marchi Wine cellar

On our estate, excelent food is always accompanied by excuisite wine – our wine cellar has been here for centuries and today it is full of supreme wines of renowned local and foreign producers. Here, all wine lovers  can really enjoy in special atmosphere and exclusive wines, taste a unique and high quality autochthonous wine sort Dobričić which has been cultivated in this area for more than 800 years. However, the sort rose to fame much later when a prestigious wine sort Zinfandel, which was originally created from the sort Dobričić, acquired world fame.

The wine cellar is an ideal location for all kinds of business and private events but expecially for Wine tastings with exclusive dinings.

Martinis Marchi Bar

A small, but a luxurious lounge area is to be found within the restaurant. The bar enables you to have private magical moments while indulging in a cocktail, a glass of whiskey or a quality cigar and resting your eyes looking at the priceless picture of the peaceful marina framed by the Adriatic Sea.
