MARTINIS MARCHI TO PREPARE EXCLUSIVE DINNER WITH THE BEST CHEF IN THE WORLD - LEONOR ESPINOSA

Martinis Marchi Restaurant & Taste The Mediterranean are proudly announcing the arrival of Leonor Hernandez Espinosa, the awarded Best Female Chef in the World for 2022 by The World's 50 Best Restaurants, who will lead the Martinis Marchi Restaurant team for a day to prepare an Exclusive 6-course Gala Dinner, on Thursday, October 5, 2023.

This prestigious title, the Best Female Chef of the Year 2022, belongs to the owner of the Leo restaurant in Bogotá and was decided by 1,080 culinary experts worldwide. For them, the 59-year-old chef is a key figure in developing the Colombian gastronomic scene. In addition to being an excellent cook, she is also a visionary with great respect for tradition and original Colombian flavours. She combines her profession with social responsibility, which are also critical values at Martinis Marchi Restaurant.

The respect for domestic ingredients and local producers, blending and preserving traditional Dalmatian cuisine and recipes while adding creative, personal signatures that result in memorable dining experiences at our seaside restaurant are also the staples of our kitchen.

Leonor Espinosa, in 2008, together with her daughter, sommelier Laura Hernandez Espinosa, founded the non-profit foundation FUNLEO, which promotes the agricultural development of rural and ethnic communities in Colombia in a healthy and environmentally friendly way and the preservation of culinary traditions. For her, gastronomy is a means of social and economic development, especially of indigenous Afro-Colombian communities.
