Our Mediterranean-inspired restaurant highly respects local ingredients, honors our island producers, and recognizes seasonality while focusing on sustainable products whenever possible.
There are several reasons why we are always choosing local and sustainable food, as we strongly believe it is a much better and healthier option for our guests thus the benefits of choosing locally grown seasonable products and sustainable foods definitely outweigh the challenges of sourcing it and preparing. But we feel blessed to be living in this heavenly part of the universe as our locally sourced food prioritize freshness, nutrition, and taste, with minimal use of chemicals and pesticides, making it sustainable, fresh, and full of taste & smell, which contributes to the uniqueness of our dishes.
The Mediterranean region is one of the most biodiverse in the world, home to a complex and intricate patchwork of cultures, climates, and cuisines, while the Mediterranean diet is often referred to as the healthiest diet in the world. Abundant in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and, above all, olive oil, and all of that can be bought from local producers or small island farms. It features fish and poultry—lean sources of protein—over red meat. Red wine is consumed regularly, in moderate amounts. Eating like the Mediterranean is as much lifestyle as it is diet.
Buying locally-grown food drastically shortens the amount of travel food needs to take before it ends up on our plate.
Buying local & sustainable local food supports not only people in our community but the prosperity of our islands.
