A celebration of tradition, friendship, and love for the sea
The Martinis Marchi Sailing Challenge has always been more than a regatta; it is a tradition that connects people who share a deep respect for the sea. Each year, we gather representatives of Croatia’s leading charter companies, our long-term partners, divers, and local supporters in a joint celebration of community and maritime heritage.
As every year, this unique regatta marked the official close of another successful tourist season, bringing together sailors, friends, and sea enthusiasts for an unforgettable day filled with sporting spirit, great music, delicious food, and meaningful environmental action.
A special part of the event is our eco-action, organised in collaboration with our long-standing partner, Trogir Diving Centre. Together with the Martinis Marchi Marina team and the Basilija Municipal Company, we regularly carry out clean-up initiatives at the start and end of each season to help preserve the beauty of Maslinica’s seabed and marine life.
This year, alongside the fleet of modern sailing yachts, beautiful traditional wooden boats – gajetas – joined the race, adding a special Dalmatian charm and authenticity to the event.

Rules, Atmosphere & Winners
After a tasty welcome breakfast, a total of 14 sailing yachts and 6 gajetas lined up at the starting point.
According to the event’s friendly competition rules, each crew could compete with one yacht between 40 and 55 feet, with 5 to 7 members, including at least two of the same gender. Only charter sailing yachts were permitted, using the mainsail and jib.
Under a clear, almost summer sky, the fleet sailed around the small islands of Šolta, creating a spectacular sight on the Adriatic. After two hours of thrilling racing, victory went to team Q-MARE, skippered by Zoran Lazić on yacht X 50.
Among the traditional boats, the winner was Veli Gira (JL62), helmed by Jure Gabelić.
