Martinis Marchi art exhibitions

Ivica Jakšić Čokrić Puko @Martinis Marchi

This genuinely unique artist, from the Island of Brač, with rich biography we hosted during our Martinis Marchi Summer Party 2017.

During the exhibition - Towards a Renaissance, in our open Restaurant area, he showed his impression of the Renaissance era, in combination with modernism.

In his work, which is usually connected to the sea, which is his eternal inspiration, he used stone from Brač, metal, and paper.

Ivica Jakšić Čokrić Puko, an antifascist artist and an opponent of mass tourism, democracy, and Coca-Cola, was born on 6th February 1955 in Bol on Brač – and he will live forever.

His prosperous career includes many solos & joined exhibitions, artistic actions, works in public places, videos, documentaries, books, poems, sculptures,...in Croatia and abroad.

He is one of the “secretaries” of the island of Brač and an active promoter of the Otoče volim te (I love you, island) campaign.
Several documentaries have been filmed about him: The Man who Made Zlatni Rat Longer, HRT

Ivica Jakšić Čokrić Puko – for his pleasure and to spite others – lives in Bol with his pet, Matea (after Klarica), and he is still not married.
