A heritage letter...

Johann Fischer Von Erlach was a famous Austrian architect and sculptor. In the work "Entwurff einer histortschen Architectur", published in Vienna in 1721, and in English in London in 1735, among the graphics of other prominent world buildings, presents his ideal reconstruction of the ancient palace of Emperor Diocletian in Split and some of its parts. Data, measurements and drawings were sent to Fischer von Erlach from Split by Ivan Petar Marchi. It is assimed that they met in Vienna where Ivan Petar Marchi stayed from 1712 - 1714 and in 1716.
